I want to purchase a new S4. Please help with dealer questions. S4 (B8 Platform) Discussion - Oil sump drain plug torque spec - Hi there, I bought a 2012 S4 6 speed manual over the Summer. Did the search but could not find the torque spec for the oil sump drain plug (T 35). Can anyone from the collective give me some numbers please!In fact, because of extraction, I'll do it more frequently, say 6500 to 7500 instead of 10k. When the oil is nice and hot, it takes 15 minutes for both the oil and filter. I'll get underneath my Pick-up cause the oil filter is also underneath. But with the filter being on top in the Audi, I'm fine with extraction. The top of the engine is clean, same with around the sides where the valve covers are, so I dont think its the oil filter. Oil on belts & fan *could* be a drain plug but it seems unlikely. One thing about the drain plug, it will leak when the engine is not running. That's not the case with many other leakage points.
2023 40 TFSI Oil Change. My wife’s 2023 Q5 40 TFSI is about ready for its first oil change. I’ve gotten conflicting information about the drain plug. I’ve been told it is a plastic “plug” and most sites direct me to a conventional steel plug. I’m looking for anyone who knows for fact what plug the 40 came with from the factory.
