Hi Doc, The 690 Duke seat is the lowest of the possible stock seats that fit the Duke, and also the 690SM. The 690SM is the taller of the two, by over an inch. In other words, if you had a 690SM and wanted a cheap lower alternative, you'd buy a 690 Duke seat.
