The Grand Budapest Hotel is one of those expansive, vivid invented realities — this time a tragicomical quasi-Eastern Europe land named in honor of Polish vodka. It is a fairytale about the poor
The vibe of the movie is just right. The set design, the costumes, the cast, the comedy, the score etc. Everything was just done right. A very beautiful movie to look at also The grand Budapest hotel has the right amount of wes Anderson kookiness unlike the french dispatch which was just too damn much wes Anderson

Gustave lords over the opulent Grand Budapest Hotel in the fictional republic of Zubrowka during its salad years before the fascist takeover of Europe in the 1930s. A fastidious charmer of impeccable demeanor, Gustave is a man of principle (a fading quality, the movie will argue), who knows the hospitality business and the needs of his clientele.
Definitely a new favourite movie. 5 stars. If you haven’t watched it, give it a watch. Perfect mix of humour and seriousness. It holds your attention for the entire movie, a large part thanks to the way the camera is always located in a spot you wouldn’t quite expect it to be filmed from. Favourite part of it though is the static shots.
